First, you need to make the commitment to saving. This means that you will watch for sales, coupons, and rebates while you shop. It doesn't take more time, but will help you to save money fast. Once you have made the decision to save money, the rest is easy.

Next, you need to start printing and surfing. Guilty: You waste time on the internet each week. Next time you sit down to do some mindless surfing; you should be printing some valuable coupons at the same time. There are many sites boasting free printable coupons, but there are some that save you time as well. Once you find one you like, which should be free of pop ups and surveys, keep it in your address book. Each day you spend browsing the web for dogs that can play ping pong, be sure your printer is popping out coupon money at the same time.

Start being price conscious. This doesn't take time either. Just start paying attention to the price of any item over $3 that you buy on a regular basis. Subscribe to website that track sales and coupon match ups for grocery stores in your area. These sites can save hours of scouring the weekly inserts or flyers. They will tell you which products are on sale, and which coupon will net the lowest out of pocket expense. All major grocery chains have sites following their coupon match ups.

Finally, use your eyes! Grocery stores are packed with savings if you can see them. Tear pads are usually found hanging off the shelves. You can find Peelie coupons on items themselves, and the blinking smartsource coupon boxes for instant discounts. Start reviewing each aisle as you shop. It doesn't take more time, but you can snag some savings. If you see a coupon today, you can always keep it for later as well.

These are simple things you can do that will save you hundreds of dollars over a year. There are also coupon clubs that deliver coupons to you monthly to save even more time.
